Healdsburg Open Space Reserve

  Healdsburg Open Space Reserve Walk: 2 miles or more.  Developed but not groomed trail. Hills. Would be good for an adventure chair, but too many roots for a standard wheelchair. Shade and sun.  I think it would be unpleasantly hot on an August afternoon. Dogs: yes, on leash. But poison oak and ticks abound off trail. Toilets: No.  Benches at the outlooks.  No Fee Website Thank you to Tim for telling me about this little known hike.   It is on property preserved by  The Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District , saved for our enjoyment by good people. There are government agencies that create and manage things like parks and National Forests.  But there are a growing number of NGOs that are preserving areas of land and creating walking opportunities.
