Th ere have been many questions about battery backup and camping issues in my communities. I have become almost expert out of desperation. Here is what I have learned. Note: I am not a medical technician, nor am I well versed in the magic of electronics. Use all this as suggestions of what kinds of questions you should be asking. No solution is perfect. Examine what it is you need. This will have a lot to do with what you need medically in terms of your machine. Just because they issued you a particular machine, this does not mean that is the best one for you either medically or to fit your life style. My life includes lots of travel, both in airplanes and in an RV. Travel Machines My machine of choice is the ResMed Mini. Insurance would not provide one for me. Even though it was less expensive than the one they wanted to foist on me. A friend who knows me well, and is a high end nurse. Oh yeah both her and her partner are CPAP users.   This blogging is about me learning how to journey. Not all journeys are about hiking. This episode is about learning about learning.  That looks do-able. These folds are easy enough. Why did think it would be hard? Where in the seven levels of Hell did this fold come from? Defies the laws of physics. Get help from at least seven people that can’t teach only to find later that they teach just find. Or use diagrams missing some critical step. Create a pile of snowballs. Expand the budget for test paper. Do some small move that makes the whole thing work. Forget what you just did. Spend 7 hours trying to figure out what you just did. Light goes on, you fold, refold, and refold again. Well that was easy. Why did I ever think it was hard? Attempt the fold the following week, or try to teach someone else. Return to step 1. At the same time, it is when many people have time off, so the park is rather full.  The hiking possibilities for one with limited hikes makes this a really tempting place. And this place has done an excellent job of presenting this feature so we can see it, while protecting it for all it has to offer us in the future.  I stayed one night. The campground is not all that big, and if you have a trailer or a large motorhome, you may have trouble finding a perfect spot. The facilities are limited, but very clean.   A bunch of you asked about how this unit worked, so I am giving you a full on review. No holds barred. And I promise this is a working evaluation, not a video of me opening the box and commenting about how well it is packaged. Getting ready for a 6 week trip, I was prescribed meds that require refrigeration. after two internet botched tries, I gave up and tried to find a unit in Sonoma County bricks and mortar, with almost no success. Why is nobody carrying these in stock? (Could it be that people buy them, use them for their camping trip then return them?) But then I found two Igloo models that plug in at Sportsman's Wearhouse in Rohnert Park.  (And these guys are good, down to earth, go camping kind of sports people that I will give my highest recommendation.) I opted for the smaller unit for two reasons.
